Everything went well with the surgeries the end of April. I've been feeling really good lately and we're done with homeschool for a while so I've been busy getting back into the card making. There is a lot on this post so read on... I made a card to send to each of them. I thought everyone would enjoy the pictures of the girls also! Their parka's are handmade by their Grandmother ( Aaka in Eskimo language!)<br /><br />Card Details: SU Polar Pals set. Their parka's are paper pieced. I actually cut a template out of card stock and did them like paper dolls clothes. I didn't like how the fur trim was hidden so then I also stamped, colored, and cut out the cuffs and bottom ruff. I also stamped the face and hood image, colored, cut it out and reattached it to the image. The circles are cut with nestibilities, the blue background was run through the big shot with the snowflakes embossing folder. The image is also attached to the circle with dimensionals.Lisahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09167182724230827271noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8664680979401459289.post-82223657155642629332008-02-23T10:15:00.007-09:002008-12-10T06:58:12.077-09:00Lots-a-layers birthday card<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGXE25w0mNj1XzYRenWNmZmll3o4etwZlPaJFfTMGfVRYud_6XPfdNOPDvyMMxN_5rFdtXq9uShKBP8Oh7jhT1pBurKTNfXDx1g9dYteiSqgk0ayALMNDgiJgUjXZY_zb3DQ3QYDmbrsw/s1600-h/P2224667-1.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGXE25w0mNj1XzYRenWNmZmll3o4etwZlPaJFfTMGfVRYud_6XPfdNOPDvyMMxN_5rFdtXq9uShKBP8Oh7jhT1pBurKTNfXDx1g9dYteiSqgk0ayALMNDgiJgUjXZY_zb3DQ3QYDmbrsw/s320/P2224667-1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5170259948462333538" border="0" /></a>Here is another fun, Sweet n sassy, lots-a-layers sketch. This was a big challenge to me since I'm not used to using so many layers, but once I got started I was surprised at how it all came together so well. The Sentiment is from Sweet N Sassy's Heartfelt sentiments set. I had this DP in my stash that had purple background, orange, gold and red hearts, so I basically used that to get my colors together. I found the striped gold and silver background paper and it seemed to balance well with the gold in the hearts. The little sayings of Be mine and Forever were cut from some 6 x 6 DP. Buttons and small heart stamp is from Stampin Up.Lisahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09167182724230827271noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8664680979401459289.post-62363307253992354992008-02-12T16:26:00.001-09:002008-12-10T06:58:12.667-09:00MOJO 24<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn-yGCYv6VHCE_Ish7j0KVcBC1YF92QzlXv3klcL4Qis1dv8lKOSIWjMuld1d3_xYNcOLUxVSyM_0XWAzuWXQpSq64Y1YwrqM3KNEerpDf88TY8QAqPTjFIIrhrPzZuu9-RRHJOLGBYGw/s1600-h/P2124558-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn-yGCYv6VHCE_Ish7j0KVcBC1YF92QzlXv3klcL4Qis1dv8lKOSIWjMuld1d3_xYNcOLUxVSyM_0XWAzuWXQpSq64Y1YwrqM3KNEerpDf88TY8QAqPTjFIIrhrPzZuu9-RRHJOLGBYGw/s320/P2124558-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5166285935482428978" border="0" /></a>This is going out as a get well card. It took me several days to decide which stamp set to use for the sentiment. This one is from Stampin up's Happy Harmony set from last years sell-a-bration. Here are some details for the card: First I used acrylic paint left over from my daughter's art work to paint on white cardstock. I used a technique the kids learned recently and first wet the card stock then stroked red paint across the paper. It did curl up when it dried, but I was able to flatten in out before attaching it to the card stock. I matted this piece onto Pink passion card stock. The next layer is pretty in pink matted on pink passion. The ribbon is light pink and red, tied onto a dark pink swirl clip from TAC. The dp is from my scrap pile ( Dick Blick) The red circle was cut with nestibilites and the sentiment on the circle is also from some misc. dp in my scrap pile. The sentiment was stamped first with versamark and then cameo coral over that. The Happiness Always is pink passion ink and the edges of the sentiment are lightly sponged with cameo coral. This was a fun card to create and I'm already thinking about some more square cards I could work on.Lisahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09167182724230827271noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8664680979401459289.post-54349125392914665522008-01-30T12:28:00.000-09:002008-12-10T06:58:13.070-09:00Soccer Birthday Card<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhocdYmSyMxWFFBXdlZ_J1zL7Oy_DYy38pd_sJtVL4WqESjRONoFZFxbRHnm4PGXMz7oFI3iBLp-MzCNM5oArpoabhad0G6c4FTs73c8glWUJrlgGlIr4PSwpYSMcnv9SkF-gH1AJiFvSE/s1600-h/P1304448-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhocdYmSyMxWFFBXdlZ_J1zL7Oy_DYy38pd_sJtVL4WqESjRONoFZFxbRHnm4PGXMz7oFI3iBLp-MzCNM5oArpoabhad0G6c4FTs73c8glWUJrlgGlIr4PSwpYSMcnv9SkF-gH1AJiFvSE/s320/P1304448-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5161385589227707250" border="0" /></a>My nephew is in a little league soccer team so I thought this would be the perfect birthday card for him. I used stamps from the Angel Company for this one. This also uses the sketch #2 from Techno Stamper's Monday Lunch time sketch. The circle for the soccer ball is cut with the largest nestibility circle I had. I wish it had been larger! It was a little challenging trying to design the lines and markings on the soccer ball but since most of it is covered up that helped a little bit. I used prisma color pencils and gamsol to color the image, trying to make it look just like my nephew's picture and using the colors of his uniform. Card stock colors are Only orange, brilliant blue and garden green. The green circle was cut with the nestibilities, the white one I did by hand. Also the background uses the spots and dots cuttlebug folder.Lisahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09167182724230827271noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8664680979401459289.post-78113645284502883882008-01-25T11:28:00.000-09:002008-12-10T06:58:13.246-09:00Birthday Fun!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ2ITbNn8ZlMEU43k_LSfyvWEhDrsc9DZlN7zRXIiAyYJlO3p77fi-9G_2g5Nya8QUb3EwY8eYXlrHyHE_CBeoztoBa-2o1Nq7c9Wrp9IkXgTkqE1dhPp_bmtFGr2IOVoJ2L9xhHvw2LY/s1600-h/P1254425-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ2ITbNn8ZlMEU43k_LSfyvWEhDrsc9DZlN7zRXIiAyYJlO3p77fi-9G_2g5Nya8QUb3EwY8eYXlrHyHE_CBeoztoBa-2o1Nq7c9Wrp9IkXgTkqE1dhPp_bmtFGr2IOVoJ2L9xhHvw2LY/s320/P1254425-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5159516372215847778" border="0" /></a><br />Another Birthday is coming up soon so I needed to get this card made. I used Sweet N Sassy stamps Birthday Fun set. I had the cake and balloons colored then went to my cabinet and saw the stickels. Of course the cake needed some and then I just had to do the balloons also. I also glued and tied on some fancy fibers for the balloon strings. It still seemed to need something so I added some stickers to fill in more background. The oval is cut with nestabilities, yellow grosgrain ribbon from stampin up. I never enjoyed art as a kid. I guess I didn't like getting my hands dirty. At first when homeschooling I was hesitant to get out the paints etc. I didn't want the kids to "make a mess" After getting some art curriculum going for them (and learning how to manage the mess) I've discovered a whole new world. I don't even mind getting my hands all inky doing cards now! The kids look forward to their art time 3 or 4 days a week.<br />We started off using How Great Thou Art curriculum, which I really enjoy. It's taught on video and is a Christian Curriculum. This year we are doing Ateiler Art, which is also on DVD- It helps to have an experienced art teacher to guide them through the lesson!<br />Enjoy your visit to our little gallery!<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-CIu1BNTeNftFI1V_xZoZ4hhCe_gHFAIFetBl25rgRax_HxnEIF1JgR2iI0Koa3km2HnTRi2It_1zt9Ja-LhydQohD-U67xx_ynK2JqbrFRbs39cCAyi2bZ9PZszIJyulm4QBhfowrpY/s1600-h/P1214370.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; Colors are Gable Green, Apricot Appeal, Bashful Blue and Cameo Coral. The stamp set is from Sweet N Sassy Stamps. This happens to be my favorite Bible Verse also.<br /> Other items in the card are gingham ribbon from stampin up, buttons from stampin up, and fancy fibers to tie the buttons together. The other ribbon and the flower was a gift from Laurie. The DP is from Dick Blick. The green card stock is embossed with the circles cuttlebug folder and the ovals were cut with spell binders. I cut the scallops on the cameo coral piece with my corner rounder. I found a tutorial from Beate's blog for how to do it. The string of pearls in the photo is from my wonderful grandmother!<br />Here is a link for Beate's blog and tutorial for cutting the scallops. <a href="http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2008/01/09/">http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2008/01/09/</a>Lisahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09167182724230827271noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8664680979401459289.post-56400492510688978342008-01-12T13:34:00.000-09:002008-12-10T06:58:16.499-09:00Pond Pals Card<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht2_piEE6GjHyKwdxZAPLBPTV7vxvvTrwA1IostXBkpHizvnev7pViWjjJEDp2bYrtE8LFZlc8isPuM3YQLMc_8r4BMMf6jjEmw10vL9lp8pNW7GjPw6H08LRX-sXLqEkO5xNgd6UMi6s/s1600-h/P1124318-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht2_piEE6GjHyKwdxZAPLBPTV7vxvvTrwA1IostXBkpHizvnev7pViWjjJEDp2bYrtE8LFZlc8isPuM3YQLMc_8r4BMMf6jjEmw10vL9lp8pNW7GjPw6H08LRX-sXLqEkO5xNgd6UMi6s/s320/P1124318-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5154723259742959602" border="0" /></a><br />I just received this set from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. You'll notice it is once again the same layout for Mojo 19. Am I stuck on that one or what??? <br /> The set is called Pond Pals. I colored and gamsoled the images. Also added another new item: "Stickles". I used white on the dragonflies, yellow on the pussy willow and green on the frogs spots and leaves.<br />Card stock colors are: Turquoise, Apricot, Cameo. Buttons and hemp twine from Stampin' Up. I moved the middle layer down to the bottom so I could use it for the sentiment and added a button with a smiley face drawn on it! The flower imaged was masked so I could sponge over it with turquoise ink. Card stock colors used are: Apricot, Teal, Celery, Turquoise & Cameo. Also used the bloom dots cuttlebug folder. DP is once again from Dick Blick. <br /> One of my stamping goals this year is to start using some of the sets that I have neglected. For this week I have used quite a few of my sets that were pushed to the back of my stamp storage area. I also cleaned out and reorganized my supplies last week so hopefully now I can find what I want without having to empty out the whole area.Lisahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09167182724230827271noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8664680979401459289.post-21952288268308087412008-01-12T11:50:00.000-09:002008-12-10T06:58:17.116-09:00More mojo<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkQ1hqQ21ossa6QG9fHhZSlVXrQFlD5GzOvUgR6dPsC4nheEEddGVG0HPfSAD1MK3WJpF8qs1nOeckR7s1hoMxUhrzbsp9yU2z8HJbhvNV76r5xu9vILC6qOwXAr7w_WA7QyUg-41VLG4/s1600-h/P1124315-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkQ1hqQ21ossa6QG9fHhZSlVXrQFlD5GzOvUgR6dPsC4nheEEddGVG0HPfSAD1MK3WJpF8qs1nOeckR7s1hoMxUhrzbsp9yU2z8HJbhvNV76r5xu9vILC6qOwXAr7w_WA7QyUg-41VLG4/s320/P1124315-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5154696605175920578" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFUhSbcSvfxEsUMS5twpfzsHcJ-CcEuNbtqQf93Fyj27rxf8JS8BZbarreQ5ONAo1tdgUpUkaAt_1eOvTuc9Q0aiFtirb9llIpAlh97ij_OkxLXfSTphNVKpAbEPLGYQGIQL6YT_Y0MSg/s1600-h/P1124317-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFUhSbcSvfxEsUMS5twpfzsHcJ-CcEuNbtqQf93Fyj27rxf8JS8BZbarreQ5ONAo1tdgUpUkaAt_1eOvTuc9Q0aiFtirb9llIpAlh97ij_OkxLXfSTphNVKpAbEPLGYQGIQL6YT_Y0MSg/s320/P1124317-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5154696978838075346" border="0" /></a>I had this sketch in my head all week so I did another card. I had been wanting to use this lighthouse stamp for some time and it seemed to be a good one to fit the sketch. The color combo is basically the same as the Get Well Penguins I did earlier this week. Turquoise, Apricot, Teal, Cameo. The image is colored with prismacolor pencils and gamsoled. The image in the left corner had dimensionals under it to pop it out more. The DP is once again from Dick Blick. They have lots of neat paper scraps you can purchase in a 1 lb package. I have so much in my scrap box now that it's fun to match it up to new projects. The bottom layer is embossed. I also used metallic brads and hemp twine as a little extra embellishmentLisahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09167182724230827271noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8664680979401459289.post-24645610440035536492008-01-10T17:13:00.000-09:002008-12-10T06:58:17.138-09:00A Baby Card!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHx07bjE4j_bQ9I-J739e-Ayg7jRdUGubCbZcnhypnpflNMJ7QoU_3kW-hj4D7-6rNW2xlKfwRyCmvcpP5o69QRHl-eiZYxHx19sVRS9g8rTzpMswvxpMosPkHLMAJy6mdNtbkwOkD014/s1600-h/P1104304-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHx07bjE4j_bQ9I-J739e-Ayg7jRdUGubCbZcnhypnpflNMJ7QoU_3kW-hj4D7-6rNW2xlKfwRyCmvcpP5o69QRHl-eiZYxHx19sVRS9g8rTzpMswvxpMosPkHLMAJy6mdNtbkwOkD014/s320/P1104304-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5154043435139479426" border="0" /></a><br />Baby Card : This is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge # 29. I was so excited to finally get some embossing folders and nestibilties so I put them to use right away. I used the bloom dots cuttlebug folder. Where have the days gone??? I've enjoyed the start of a new year and have been taking it slow and easy the past week. I gave the kids most of the week off school. My two oldest got started back with their math only and then by Thursday I had all 4 kiddos back in their places, trying to get back into their school work. Kind of gave us a jump start to really get going on Monday. During the week I did work on two new cards. One is for my sister's birthday next week and the other for a little girl in the village. I made a goal to send birthday cards out to all the kids who came to VBS last summer. In the card is a reminder to come to Bible Time on Sunday and that they can have a prize from our birthday box when they come. So far no one has missed when they have a birthday. Our attendance in church, Bible time and teen time has been very low the past few months. Please pray that more will attend church services and the God will work in their hearts. Here are the cards that I made this week.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYjC4nSSt4Eaj7QDqXjAJcCwNWwZxTQ8lmH-wYNMTK92wfoKkOO68UgroL_xOuZfXI6Ghd2XcRF_-UeT4mOpi3Yocq1loSurJGrcHF5TiKeoKLfHB0P1oVqUXALvPYf1IzN5XN6gYW7zI/s1600-h/P1044248-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYjC4nSSt4Eaj7QDqXjAJcCwNWwZxTQ8lmH-wYNMTK92wfoKkOO68UgroL_xOuZfXI6Ghd2XcRF_-UeT4mOpi3Yocq1loSurJGrcHF5TiKeoKLfHB0P1oVqUXALvPYf1IzN5XN6gYW7zI/s320/P1044248-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5152155925861906258" border="0" /></a> Kids Birthday Card details: SU- Love ya bunches, ( birds and sentiment) Basket full of fun- (butterflies & flowers in background) Birds are colored with prismacolor pencils and gamsoled. I'm finally slowed down now and ready to enjoy some free time. The past few weeks have been busy. I'm sure a lot of you have been busy also. We had a craft fair a few weeks ago and I was busy making stuff to sell. <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Unfortunately</span> so many people were already out of the village our turn out was really low. I did sell a few cards and some nugget boxes. My husband made a nice gun rack and some <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Ulus</span> (Eskimo knives). My daughter beat us all out with her baked goods and pretty much sold everything she had made. Here are some photos of the craft items:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_HOdf8rx02a5MYVLPEGGQfgBC-ExaRwcIXRr-nEf90RAEqInD05Vxseh5XTwdcSu24SlY7Kz38tt2ru20zMgKo5SpBbWI3vg4bv9TygUxkun9qEUJE57emDwkJU4fJlvE2YocvqMq44E/s1600-h/PC134115-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_HOdf8rx02a5MYVLPEGGQfgBC-ExaRwcIXRr-nEf90RAEqInD05Vxseh5XTwdcSu24SlY7Kz38tt2ru20zMgKo5SpBbWI3vg4bv9TygUxkun9qEUJE57emDwkJU4fJlvE2YocvqMq44E/s320/PC134115-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148728735233226386" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnshRoEJMLCnGiWPr7lER7nXENf1q7XyHnmWw-M7Zer3y4p8148es4-uITdny1NrAX3BXIT0xod49Jtdh1fxsfngh4lRr8uz4Bcn6TiRND-P7uggVzqg-dRfLKklpKJWyShgOPrBaY6C0/s1600-h/PC134116-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnshRoEJMLCnGiWPr7lER7nXENf1q7XyHnmWw-M7Zer3y4p8148es4-uITdny1NrAX3BXIT0xod49Jtdh1fxsfngh4lRr8uz4Bcn6TiRND-P7uggVzqg-dRfLKklpKJWyShgOPrBaY6C0/s320/PC134116-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148729061650740898" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_avFrKjLfvtlfitjHsiEKouVMby_D3uJAux2LbcjmGOl3eN6jn8WkQ2x2PpN2ozDpPwUWFB4L-Amfr-VeMVDghLiAHPA9Qk4_yhk9hGfuEN9fiOZ-6Ywhhy-Wz0PUg5Brdh0SoCb4Jd8/s1600-h/PC134120-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_avFrKjLfvtlfitjHsiEKouVMby_D3uJAux2LbcjmGOl3eN6jn8WkQ2x2PpN2ozDpPwUWFB4L-Amfr-VeMVDghLiAHPA9Qk4_yhk9hGfuEN9fiOZ-6Ywhhy-Wz0PUg5Brdh0SoCb4Jd8/s320/PC134120-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148729456787732146" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDsPSiVylmnwcBbn-G5eSviVo2Hrv85tK0Z8ngXYxGuWWRtV5djXmn7Eiyjd00r20lp8QId88Fdo2aqXl1H6SFoMEpWXLS38lpMEtdb5VACGZTc6THNpJvgEyQt1VEKnA5OvrD-R7fr-o/s1600-h/PC134121-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDsPSiVylmnwcBbn-G5eSviVo2Hrv85tK0Z8ngXYxGuWWRtV5djXmn7Eiyjd00r20lp8QId88Fdo2aqXl1H6SFoMEpWXLS38lpMEtdb5VACGZTc6THNpJvgEyQt1VEKnA5OvrD-R7fr-o/s320/PC134121-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148729937824069314" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkQUbb8xF0VHd7oW2s4ym0HcqWL-r2uz5EWF-s-tk__L9iLK0PylNgwHTUmk_cqkgE0kOBWXbU-rt0MLJty4Rp2nzYfQQcSjGZXGi572SubCHUBpc0PISZu_8Dr3jXC66ACtnTFwELbC0/s1600-h/PC134114-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkQUbb8xF0VHd7oW2s4ym0HcqWL-r2uz5EWF-s-tk__L9iLK0PylNgwHTUmk_cqkgE0kOBWXbU-rt0MLJty4Rp2nzYfQQcSjGZXGi572SubCHUBpc0PISZu_8Dr3jXC66ACtnTFwELbC0/s320/PC134114-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148730710918182610" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUA1U-2E6Q1Khkxb1uaSkbVmAbOHeE09c8rQ6dwc_qtXD6YydzD_eRdzlfe1F310U9-R6GJGOYf_w0SKkhC2qqbBzv7UdinoIltLcZy2SomF3HQC-5tApkZ22mJGyNBfXIkMIKFOpu3Kw/s1600-h/PC154134-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUA1U-2E6Q1Khkxb1uaSkbVmAbOHeE09c8rQ6dwc_qtXD6YydzD_eRdzlfe1F310U9-R6GJGOYf_w0SKkhC2qqbBzv7UdinoIltLcZy2SomF3HQC-5tApkZ22mJGyNBfXIkMIKFOpu3Kw/s320/PC154134-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148724715143837234" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCo6L73nuHyovUZSOI4DPB8T4yx8eh25lze_35Dgg6DLTpgjCoPLPJ6uolpHD2oOSJXqEL88DqDfIh68dH7zoAp3nOxkDo1mHsV1VigC2FD0Wg01imFYdM7mNNfcgqmxjUPDxdzDjNIds/s1600-h/PC154140-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCo6L73nuHyovUZSOI4DPB8T4yx8eh25lze_35Dgg6DLTpgjCoPLPJ6uolpHD2oOSJXqEL88DqDfIh68dH7zoAp3nOxkDo1mHsV1VigC2FD0Wg01imFYdM7mNNfcgqmxjUPDxdzDjNIds/s320/PC154140-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148725393748670034" border="0" /></a><br />The following Sunday was our church Christmas program. We only had 8 kids show up for the program after weeks of practice. Our little auditorium was pretty full with adults to watch the kids. We had a nice service and the kids did great. Our only wise man was a 3 yr old. He kept <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">everyone's</span> attention by playing with his crown and wiggling around the platform!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOJa0yWnZkekl5oBIU9WX__dFGkGNUTRPh9SIsimtDIv6wbOxS4-hEZuBVQrrkeUSKi-x5FBfBy4g8_1gM5fjPDrViZ4_m5EMrVrQfpWqsGGFFG58WezDabOBZKjTWLooqoejHqZwuDJw/s1600-h/PC164145-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOJa0yWnZkekl5oBIU9WX__dFGkGNUTRPh9SIsimtDIv6wbOxS4-hEZuBVQrrkeUSKi-x5FBfBy4g8_1gM5fjPDrViZ4_m5EMrVrQfpWqsGGFFG58WezDabOBZKjTWLooqoejHqZwuDJw/s320/PC164145-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148726647879120482" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBQD79kkHOpwzCxFoR03U6WAYFJHjpkexgX1XNYjdseudfwumQRIyObD5STKlEXSv-pR8S0MRDfQIuV2pJw_zhZ1PPKVd-ky89E3iyFcJi44vAQwbUOSlilobxtWfDjX1CrEkr8X6FMFY/s1600-h/PC164150-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBQD79kkHOpwzCxFoR03U6WAYFJHjpkexgX1XNYjdseudfwumQRIyObD5STKlEXSv-pR8S0MRDfQIuV2pJw_zhZ1PPKVd-ky89E3iyFcJi44vAQwbUOSlilobxtWfDjX1CrEkr8X6FMFY/s320/PC164150-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148727150390294130" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRqfxxZ76Oufgr1gWKiE5UHJQYfaau7Ub-qyY-mhF9GZaYGjFSTQ_sDs-HayAaPKIY3LMlCgbZZZJYne0CQ7ExQmCv253gEJm9pS0dfdEgWauldHJW_UdOBET94lXvIHrSlsxDGYQKwvY/s1600-h/PC144128-2.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRqfxxZ76Oufgr1gWKiE5UHJQYfaau7Ub-qyY-mhF9GZaYGjFSTQ_sDs-HayAaPKIY3LMlCgbZZZJYne0CQ7ExQmCv253gEJm9pS0dfdEgWauldHJW_UdOBET94lXvIHrSlsxDGYQKwvY/s320/PC144128-2.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148727803225323138" border="0" /></a><br />Our local public school had a Christmas program also a few days later. I got recruited to play the piano for it and only had a few times to practice the music with the kids. It went very well also. I was impressed with the ending of the program. The entire school staff, including all teachers, sang "Silent Night" at the end of the program. Three verses in English and 4 verses in <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Inupiat</span> (native Eskimo language here). It was such a blessing to hear them sing a hymn in a public school. Each of the classes also did at least one hymn in their portion of the program. What a blessing to be in a community that honors the Lord and no one is offended by having prayer, Christian hymns and the Bible in the school!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCRgySiMbR9tuA3G_ucvc0JEAJnoQrfFiM27y11ZbQvMIveiiVXKhjrHxN0jUstbux5KpTQIgCSe1EBgAzAhR6QVfhnCeE3hMR41HnegICfMM-JkT25c_RKLvH-ka32ZWapemg3wRlsfk/s1600-h/PC184136-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCRgySiMbR9tuA3G_ucvc0JEAJnoQrfFiM27y11ZbQvMIveiiVXKhjrHxN0jUstbux5KpTQIgCSe1EBgAzAhR6QVfhnCeE3hMR41HnegICfMM-JkT25c_RKLvH-ka32ZWapemg3wRlsfk/s320/PC184136-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148731286443800290" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRVZE0uNT1dEZRy8zcUK8HHtUayo_jZqEzmttzcXm1DJEU4i4FHRK5oLJBy0K8oS10hG6pinU3c2uu83yPHn7tjFSZ1vbYhQUIFSojBXmkQJUSZTjSAdGmgcCgZoKBzCS2gqu7XT95VAY/s1600-h/PC184161-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRVZE0uNT1dEZRy8zcUK8HHtUayo_jZqEzmttzcXm1DJEU4i4FHRK5oLJBy0K8oS10hG6pinU3c2uu83yPHn7tjFSZ1vbYhQUIFSojBXmkQJUSZTjSAdGmgcCgZoKBzCS2gqu7XT95VAY/s320/PC184161-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148731819019745010" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju9tUeIbHcVI-SLHKNuN5-Gxg88PusXCVoNkE3XoM-WawIX0wbgazilTAnbyMcWpGQYhDG0Q4LVXuYrdAVEuCGIzhBM2HWZ76DnAM5L7Yo07SE4kehFSKmQDHd77XeYPZeF7Qyj8tqYA8/s1600-h/PC184172-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju9tUeIbHcVI-SLHKNuN5-Gxg88PusXCVoNkE3XoM-WawIX0wbgazilTAnbyMcWpGQYhDG0Q4LVXuYrdAVEuCGIzhBM2HWZ76DnAM5L7Yo07SE4kehFSKmQDHd77XeYPZeF7Qyj8tqYA8/s320/PC184172-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5148732235631572738" border="0" /></a><br />Now that all those activities are done I was able to get busy and make 6 birthday cards for upcoming birthdays for some of the kids here in the village. It was just as great as Thanksgiving, pretty much the same menu as we had before, only not as many pies this time. We made home made ice cream to go with the pies which we'll have later tonight. We decided to have our meal on Christmas Eve so we could do leftovers tomorrow and not have a lot of cooking to do.<br /><br />Sorry for such a long post but as I said, I have lots of catching up to do...<br /><br />Merry Christmas to all of you!Lisahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09167182724230827271noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8664680979401459289.post-67914379129654418072007-12-10T17:40:00.001-09:002008-12-10T06:58:46.658-09:00Winter Wonder Land<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj90yFpGcXRJQxceNmlwCvzDQ0uZLWgKkWnRVG89za58xIoLjHu4iQNy9RWPfSVqzIR1X5hyHpzUfoN1wz20W5Brn1YGAlVy7ughkcHl9GYydmQdG9mkObyv_22A1CcnJMc5La-__1XUss/s1600-h/PC044052-1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj90yFpGcXRJQxceNmlwCvzDQ0uZLWgKkWnRVG89za58xIoLjHu4iQNy9RWPfSVqzIR1X5hyHpzUfoN1wz20W5Brn1YGAlVy7ughkcHl9GYydmQdG9mkObyv_22A1CcnJMc5La-__1XUss/s320/PC044052-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5142540832024094834" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;">My we've had a lot of blowing snow around here lately.
